"That's a Mazda Miata, Godammit!"Mazda Miata in North America, Eunos Roadster in Japan and Mazda MX-5 to everyone else. The Japanese have some pretty funny ideas about naming cars: Cedric, Chariot Resort Runner, Canter Guts (I kid you not), New Aero Queen, Prairie Joy, etc...
However, the Japanese also have a habit of making great cars. Yes, they often copy Europe rather than being truly innovative, but who said the copy can't be better than the original?
I bought my Roadster in June 2002, right in time for summer (yes, there is a summer in the UK!). So far it's been good fun, if a little slow. This could get expensive...
